Balauron is a read-only trading-intelligence cockpit: one board that tracks live implied probability across prediction markets (Polymarket first) alongside crypto spot prices (Binance), and — more importantly — measures whether the calls made on those markets actually beat the market.
No funds are held here, no orders are placed, and no wallet keys are ever requested. Balauron reads public market data, timestamps the calls you log, and scores them after the market resolves. That's the whole product — and that constraint is deliberate.
The problem with 'I called it'
Anyone can point at a resolved market and claim they saw it coming. Screenshots are trivially faked, memories are conveniently selective, and a hot streak on coin flips looks identical to skill for a surprisingly long time.
Balauron's answer is the timestamp-locked call. When you log a Prediction (on a prediction market) or a Signal (on a crypto pair), the server records the market's implied probability at that exact moment, using its own ingestion feed — never a timestamp your browser supplies. Once the market closes, the call is frozen forever. There is no editing, no deleting after the fact, no 'actually I meant the other side.'
Edge vs. the close
The score that matters most here is edge-vs-close — a close cousin of what sports bettors call closing line value (CLV).
When a market resolves, we compare the probability at the moment you made your call against the probability the market settled at near its close. Called YES at 34% on a market that closed at 61%? You were ahead of the crowd by 27 points, and it didn't matter whether the market ultimately resolved YES or NO — you consistently getting in ahead of where the market ends up is the strongest statistical signal of genuine forecasting skill that exists.
Hit rate alone can't tell you that. A trader who only ever backs 95% favorites will post a beautiful win percentage and zero edge.
Separating skill from luck
Raw edge on five calls means nothing — variance dominates small samples. Balauron runs every member's resolved calls through a Bayesian skill model that shrinks extreme results toward the mean until there's enough evidence to believe them. The output is a 0–100 skill score with a confidence interval, and the leaderboard requires a minimum number of resolved calls before anyone appears on it at all.
The practical effect: you cannot farm the leaderboard with a lucky weekend. Sustained, repeated, timestamped edge is the only way up.
What's on the board today
- Markets board — live implied probabilities for ~1,800 Polymarket prediction markets and the major Binance spot pairs, streaming via server-sent events.
- Predictions & Signals — timestamp-locked calls on either head, scored after resolution.
- Leaderboards — edge-ranked, Bayesian-shrunk, minimum-call-count gated.
- Wallet profiles — look up any public Polymarket wallet's PNL breakdown, read-only.
- Resolution calendar & UMA dispute dashboard — when markets close, and which ones are stuck in resolution limbo.
Registration is invite-only while we harden the scoring pipeline. The entire cockpit — every market, every leaderboard, every wallet profile — is readable without an account.
